BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- The Standing Committee of the 14th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee concluded its 13th session on Tuesday afternoon. The topic of the session was the drafting of the country's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030).
Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the closing meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Wang called on political advisors to actively contribute their ideas and efforts with a focus on the goal of basically realize socialist modernization by 2035, as well as the social and economic development targets and major strategic tasks, reform measures and construction projects in the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030).
A set of revised regulations on the proposal work of the CPPCC National Committee was adopted at the meeting.
Earlier today at the plenary meeting of the session, 14 members of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee delivered remarks on the session's topic. They focused on aspects such as new quality productive forces, expansion of domestic demand, and digital economy-real economy integration, among others. ■
